4 and 6 bottle levels $24 (member price $21)
72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Syrah, 12% Petite Sirah 14.5% ABV
Tapestry is a brand new project of one of Napa’s most venerable wineries, Beaulieu Vineyard (aka BV). BV is known for Georges de la Tour Cab and Tapestry Reserve. It’s interesting marketing to call your new Paso wine “Tapestry“, when generations of your customers know Tapestry Reserve from Napa. The two Tapestry’s are not similar, in spite of the fact that they share the same winemaker. This Paso Tapestry is a bold juicy burger wine, with notes of black plum, black currant, boysenberry, black pepper, molasses. 19 months in French oak barrels (60% new).
Food Pairing Suggestions:
This lush red perfectly complements dishes that are equally rich in flavor such as sticky barbecued baby back ribs, grilled pepper-crusted steaks topped with Gorgonzola butter, saucy pulled pork barbecue, burgers topped with sharp Cheddar, smoky bacon and caramelized onions, grilled leg of lamb stuffed with garlic and herbs, spaghetti Bolognese, and roasted quail over hazelnut risotto. This smooth red also stands up to spicy foods like pork tacos al pastor, cajun-style seared salmon, steak asado fajitas, carnitas, Chinese grilled eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, and Szechuan beef stir fry over white rice. Or simply savor the decadence on its own or with a sliver of Abbaye de Belloc, Comté Reserve, smoky Spanish Idizabal or Rogue River Blue.
