Syrah from granite around Mauves, Tournon and Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, with young vines from the family's own replanted slopes, raised in neutral barrels. Violets, cassis and black cherry over charcoal and graphite, and a cool lift of mint the vintage brings forward. Supple tannin, and a wine that moves easily across the palate. This is the granite of the family's home bank, across the river from the hill.
