YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Mas de Mousquety
This truly magnificent yet wonderfully cozy 19th-century mas or farmhouse will be the center of our experiences. The mas is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Provence, just a short scenic drive east of Avignon and south of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Set within over 5 acres along the river Sorgue, you’ll have the freedom to wander through the grounds and simply relax, soaking in the serene atmosphere of this timeless retreat.
Vino Venue has thoughtfully curated a collection of activities and experiences that showcase the very best of the region, drawing on our deep expertise to ensure an unforgettable journey for every participant. We understand that some days you may just want to take off from activities. While we hope you will join us, we encourage you to "do you". All activities are optional.
Many guests will likely arrive into and depart out of Paris and then train to and from Avignon. If you prefer transportation service from Paris, Marseilles or Nice airports, please inquire about options and pricing.
Changes to the itinerary may occur. In the event any experience listed should change due to matters beyond our control, it will be replaced with a similar quality experience.
Welcome to Provence
Day 1
At 2:30pm we will meet you at the Avignon TGV Train Station. From here we will travel to our beautiful French "mas" for the week. It is a 19th century, renovated farmhouse with all the comforts and then some. The mas is situated on the Sorgue river.
After getting settled, we will have a welcome reception in the courtyard and multi-coursed meal paired with lovely wines of the region.
L'ISLE SUR LA SORGUE
Day 2
Sunday is market day in L'Isle Sur La Sorgue. The group will hit several places to pick up supplies for the evening meal. You will have the opportunity to browse food, art and antique vendors and find some lunch on your own. This quaint town will not disappoint!
This evening we will have a wine tasting and meal created from the beautiful produce we found this day.
GIGONDAS
Day 3
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out to Gigondas, a charming town with stunning views of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The area is known for its many wineries. We will visit Famille Perrin among others and lunch at their bistrot enjoying a range of their wines.
We will stop in Beaumes-de-Venise, known for their sweet fortified wine.
Time to enjoy our accommodations and prepare for our first cooking class!
EN PLEIN AIR
Day 4
We will enjoy a leisurely morning and then a water color workshop in our charming courtyard.
Lunch alfresco with a wine tasting. And then some time to kayak the river, play boules, or find a hammock for a read.
This evening we will go into town for a local dining experience.
CHATEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE
Day 5
Our first visit will be Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, a 6 generation wine producer!
Next we will lunch in the quaint town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and visit a fabulous wine store where you may make some new discoveries! There will be time to explore other tasting rooms.
Then we are back to the mas for a lesson in French bread making which we will enjoy with a casual meal.
ST. REMY & AVIGNON
Day 6
Enjoy a free morning at our accommodations - sleep in, take a walk along the river or a dip in the heated pool...
We will visit St. Remy for a lovely lunch with some local rosé wine and shopping time.
Next we will stop in Avignon and visit the Palace of the Popes. On our way to our accommodations we will stop at a quaint brasserie for an early dinner.
ROUSSILLON
Day 7
Our last day of adventure will start in one of the most beautiful villages in France; Roussillon, best know for its distinctive red cliffs. On our return we will stop at the Musée de la Lavande Luberon.
This evening we will enjoy a unique experience at the Michelin rated restaurant Solelh. Known for their modern take on traditional bistro recipes, the evening will be a special finale for our trip.

Day 8
Transportation to the Avignon TGV train station will be provided at 10am. Expected arrival time is 11:00am. Please plan your travel accordingly.
