Additional WSET Course Terms

I. INTENT

I understand that it is a condition of my enrollment in WSET courses that I must agree to these terms, and I understand that Atlanta Wine School will not permit me to purchase any of its courses or attend any of its classes unless done so.

II. CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations MUST be requested in writing at: info@vinovenue.com. If you are unable to attend your class or event, you have the following recourse:

All WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) courses require a notice of eleven (11) business days prior to course commencement due to WSET regulations and no refund or credit shall be provided by Vino Venue/AWS should cancellation be made after such deadline. All WSET course changes will be subject to a $50 administration fee. WSET examinations must be cancelled prior to exams being ordered (10 business days for written examinations/ 15 business days for remotely invigilated examinations). Examinations cancelled after registration will incur a cancellation fee ($50 for written/ $100 for remote invigilation) and the student must purchase a second examination sitting.

III. SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS, DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

WSET Awards seeks to assess all candidates in a way that puts them at no disadvantage, or advantage, over other candidates. A reasonable adjustment is any action that helps to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty that places the candidate at a substantial disadvantage in the assessment situation.  Should you require special accommodations in a WSET course related to a disability or learning difference, you may e-mail us at info@vinovenue.com at least 30 days prior to the start of a course to apply for support from WSET.

Special consideration may be sought by candidates who have been disadvantaged by temporary illness, injury, indisposition or adverse circumstances at the time of the assessment to demonstrate attainment. Candidates must contact us at info@vinovenue.com at least 9 working days before an examination date in order to be considered.

IV. STUDENT & GUEST COMPLAINTS

Students and guests can make a complaint to Vino Venue/Atlanta Wine School at any time. Should you wish to submit a complaint, please email info@vinovenue.com. The email should include your name, phone number, class attended, and full details regarding the complaint. We guarantee your complaint will remain confidential and that it will not affect your status or outcome as a WSET student. We will respond to your email within 3 working days and the incident will be addressed with 7-10 days. If your complaint is not handled to your satisfaction within 7-10 days, please email Lizette Leanza, Director of Education, directly at lizette@vinovenue.com. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction following these steps, you may contact the WSET’s Quality Assurance Team at qa@wsetglobal.com.

V. MALPRACTICE & MALADMINISTRATION

If a student believes there has been a maladministration or malpractice of WSET policies, please contact us as soon as possible at info@vinovenue.com. Malpractice or maladministration may include but is not limited to the following: Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct; Failure to carry out course or assessment delivery in accordance with WSET Awards requirements; Failure to adhere to WSET Awards’ candidate registration and certification procedures; Submission of false or inaccurate information to gain a qualification; Cheating, including the use of unauthorized devices or materials; Disruptive behaviour in an examination; Plagiarism of any nature by students; Impersonation (including forgery of signatures); or Any action likely to lead to an adverse effect.
