In 2012, the Raventós family walked away from the Cava DO. Twenty-one generations of winemaking on this land, and they decided the appellation no longer reflected what they were doing.

The Conca del Riu Anoia sits over an ancient seabed. The soils are built on marine fossils and limestone left behind when the Mediterranean retreated 16 million years ago. Pepe Raventós farms the entire estate biodynamically, using sheep for grass control, farm-produced compost, and indigenous varieties only. Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Parellada, and Malvasia de Sitges. No foreign grapes allowed.

The 2023 Blanc de Blancs spent 18 months on the lees. It is chalky, saline, and dry, with herbs, dried hay, and citrus peel. The bubbles are fine and persistent. The minerality is not subtle
