Jamieson Ranch Vineyards was founded in 2011. They are the southernmost winery in Napa Valley, in American Canyon.  (If you take the Bay Bridge from SF to Napa, you’ll drive through American Canyon – north of Vallejo on Highway 29.)  The fruit is sourced from multiple vineyards throughout Napa Valley, primarily from the valley floor.  The winery is named after the historic rancher John Brocklebank Jameson who helped to settle the Napa Valley. Today, Jamieson Ranch pays homage to the rich ranching tradition of the Napa Valley and American West, naming their wines Double Lariat, Silver Spur, etc.  Aged 16 months in French oak barrels (40% new).  Blackberry, boysenberry, black plum, roasted coffee.  Another burger wine!

Serve this balanced blend with grilled lamb burgers topped with garlic aioli and goat cheese, paprika dusted tri-tip steaks hot off the grill, smoky pasta carbonara, Moroccan lamb tagine with eggplant couscous, mushroom and beef stroganoff, pancetta wrapped pork loin with sweet bell peppers, roasted eggplant simmered in a savory tomato sauce, grilled rosemary chicken with parsley fingerlings, classic pasta Bolognese, ribeye steaks smothered in a mushroom cream sauce over braised garlicky kale and bison burgers topped with applewood smoked bacon and blue cheese. This approachable blend is also heavenly with a slice of Mimolette or sharp Cheddar.
