The fruit for Treana Cabernet Sauvignon is from three districts in Paso Robles: Creston, known for its large daily diurnal swings aided by the Templeton Gap, Estrella district with its loamy and gravely river plain slopes and canyons, and the San Miguel district with large rolling hills and situated on ancient river plains. All three of these districts are in the hotter eastern side of Paso, but the Hope Family team identified cool terroirs; the elegance of this wine is the proof! The lots were aged separately for 10 months in a combination 15% once used French Oak and 85% neutral French and American oak, blended, then aged an additional three months in 95% new French Oak. Blackberry, black cherry, blueberry, with grippy tannins. Fire up the grill!
