4FEB02 Klinker Brick GRENACHE BLANC, Mokelumni River, Lodi, California 2022
4 and 6 bottle levels $21 (member price $18)
100% Grenache Blanc 13.2% ABV
The Felten family has been growing grapes for five generations in Lodi. The first four generations sold their grapes to cooperatives, but the fifth generation (Steve and Lori) realized that they could sell to prestigious wineries, then in 2000 realized their dream of making their own wine. Klinker Brick is the name of a artisanal brick that’s used in many historic Lodi buildings. We featured their Brick Mason Red in January, and plan to use one of their Cab Sauvs later this year, but the guests at January’s Mac Attack Tasting loved the Grenache Blanc, hence the inclusion in February’s list. Honeydew melon, pear, yellow peach. Aged in stainless steel.
