About Cantine Amastuola:

“Amastuola…the place where history, art and nature meet in a landscape author.”
Amastuola is a boutique winery, born in 2002, family owned and run, which is placed, with its 110 hectares of organic vineyard and a beautiful Wine Resort, in the north-west area of Salento.
Located on a plateau at 220m above sea level, Amastuola produces an exclusive collection of excellent organic and vegan-friendly wines, well-known for their very high quality but very low sulphites content, wisely vinificated combining tradition with cutting edge equipment and technology.
The rows of vines were planted according to the design conceived by the famous landscape designer Fernando Caruncho. The vine espaliers draw harmonious parallel waves that follow each other for about 3 km. In addition, 1,500 centuries-old olive trees have been rearranged in the 24 islands organically positioned throughout the entire surface of the vineyard as well as along the historic allays of the Farm. The olive trees used are the result of a historical-monumental recovery work. The CNR (National Research Council) of Perugia dated and filed a record of all the olive trees, some of which are 800 years old and have a diameter that exceeds 2.5 meters. The combination of wave-shaped vines and massive olive trees creates an harmonious visual contrast that made Amastuola’s “garden-vineyard” very famous around the world!
In 2024 we sold around 220.00 bottles in 28 Countries (Europe and overseas) and, of course, in Italy too.
All our wines – as well as our extra virgin olive oil (from centuries-old olive trees!) - are entirely produced with the grapes from our 110-ha vineyard (the sole wave-shaped in the world!), high quality ones, organic certified, very low in sulphites and vegan-friendly.
Furthermore, our Company is moving more and more towards eco-friendly packaging for all our wines. This means that we pack our wines in ECO-FRIENDLY BOXES (made of 100% recycled and 100% compostable carton board) and that we use light bottles for almost all our wines (white, orange and rosè ones = 395 gr. and 400 gr only for our reds, except for our 5 high range wines) with huge savings in transportation costs and in CO2 emissions!
Amastuola vineyard is the only one of its kind in the world and combines production, aesthetics and tradition. It is characterized by row of vines arranged like parallel and marked waves that extend for about three kilometers interspersed with 1500 olive trees placed in twenty-four islands over the whole surface of the vineyard.
An area of 110 hectares in which the local grape varieties are implanted on medium-textured soils characterized by the presence of skeletons, peats and valuable minerals that, together with the high sunshine hours, facilitate the organic cultivation and give the wines a unique flavour.
Amastuola is also an advanced laboratory collaborating with the prestigious Italian universities where the most modern techniques of production are studied and adopted.
Our wines are born from the blend of tradition and research and are a faithful expression of the unique terroir of Amastuola.
Scrupulous attention to detail and limited yields to get quality organic wines that describe with their authentic essence our love for this extraordinary land immersed in the heart of the Mediterranean sea.
