Pinot Noir from Mendoza is becoming a thing, as the diverse terroir of this huge area is better understood today than a generation ago. Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach are co-owners of Manos Negras. The winery’s name reflects their philosophy towards winemaking; getting their hands dirty. The story begins at Bodega Catena Zapata where Jeff and Alejandro worked for many years together. Jeff is an American born sommelier and Alejandro is a viticulturist who is now considered one of the most knowledgeable experts on the terroir of South America today. Fermented in concrete tanks, aged six months in neutral French oak. Crunchy red raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, cedar. Burgundy drinkers would like this wine.
