We’ve carried Ventiquero wines for 10 years, with this flagship Cabernet Sauvignon leading the way. Their Export Director The Americas is Horacio Fuentes, a neighbor and old friend of VV, who hosted one of our first virtual tastings in May 2020 and a wine dinner in May of this year. Ventisquero is the only wine we carry that mentions Dunwoody, GA on the back label. This wine isn’t just single vineyard, it’s single block! The viticulture team identified the best block for Cabernet Sauvignon for this “Grey“. The rest of the vineyard provides fruit for their entry level “Reserva“ wine.  The winemaker is Felipe Toso and the consulting winemaker is John Duval, who made Penfolds Grange for decades.  Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (33% new).  Blackberry, black raspberry, black pepper, black olive.
