A Tête-à-Tête is a private intimate conversation between two people. This is the current vintage of Bill Easton’s Domaine de la Terre Rouge, as he’s a gentleman who only releases wines when he believes they are ready to be enjoyed. He’s tucked away in Sierra Foothills. We’ve carried his wines on-and-off for years, both from Domaine de la Terre Rouge and from Easton. His Tête-à-Tête is from younger vines, and is his version of a Côtes du Rhône Village, whereas his pricier wines are riffs on the prestigious Northern and Southern Rhône AOP’s. 16 months in a mix of French oak barrels (20% new). Black plum, red raspberry, smoky/gamey/meaty notes.
