Twenty Bench was founded 23 years ago and has become known as a smooth tasty Cab producer.  It’s a project of Nine North Wine Company.  They began as a wine import company, then were encouraged by friends to begin producing their own wine.  At first the fruit was 100% Napa Valley.  Today, it’s 80% Napa Valley and 20% Sonoma & Suisan Valley.  Aged 18 months in French and American oak barrels.  Blackberry, black raspberry, dark chocolate, anise, plenty of baking spice from the oak barrels.  A juicy burger would be an excellent accompaniment, but why not get your West Coast vibe going this summer?  Grill some Tri Tip, arguably Cali’s most famous red meat.
