6SEP03 Domaine Paul Mas “Reserve” MARSANNE, Pays d’Oc, France 2020 (F, O)
4 and 6 bottle levels $21 (member price $18)
100% Marsanne 13.0% ABV
Paul Mas is a 4th generation family-owned winery founded in 1892 in Pézenas (Languedoc), and the family has been expanding their vineyard holdings ever since. The Marsanne grapes grow on the limestone and clay soils of Limoux and Carcassonne (Roussillon), with some grapes from the warmer area of Hérault (Languedoc). While only some of their Marsanne vineyards are certified organic, they practice organic viticulture in all their property. Aged in stainless steel. The attack is ripe and rich, with notes of yellow peach, nectarine and lime. It has a hard-edge mineral finish, making it crisp and refreshing for a cool fall evening.
