1865 didn’t just mark the end of the War Between the States, but also the founding of Viña San Pedro. Originally owned by the Correa family in the Cachapoal Valley, they were purchased by a Chilean conglomerate that produces beverages ranging from wine to beer to seltzers to brandy. 1865 is a line-up of pure varietal wines at attractive prices. 12 months in French oak barrels (mostly neutral). Blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, anise, whiff of bell pepper.
