Neirano is a 3rd generation family owned winery founded in 1982 in Casalotto di Mombaruzzo, in the heart of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They have documentation dating back to 1041 of the vineyards planted on their property. Antonio Sperone runs the winery with help from his brother Paolo and children Andrea and Francesca. Barbera d’Asti Superiore means that the wine has been aged for at least 14 months (with at least 6 months in wood), and that the grapes are of higher quality than those of Barbera d’Asti Normale. In this case, the wine is aged for 12 months in small oak barrels. Blackberry, black raspberry, red cherry, smoke, vanilla.
