Fratelli Grasso "Le Zolle Mosto di Uve", Piedmont, Italy NV
$21.00
Brothers Luigi and Alfredo Grasso have been making fine wine for over 50 years. The winery is in Treiso, the highest village of Barbaresco. Typically traditional producers in style, the brothers also experiment to create unique offerings. Wines are bottled and released when they “taste right” according to Luigi and Alfredo, not on a time table. Le Zolle’s grapes were harvested in 2021. It’s Frizzante – meaning slightly sparkling. The attack (led by Moscato) is off-dry, with apple, pear and perfumed peach; the finish (Nebbiolo prominent) is tart and drier, with raspberry and rose petals.
