Your home for the week, Casa Gallo, is a luxurious private villa nestled in the heart of the Langhe hills. With breathtaking views, elegant interiors, and modern amenities, this villa offers an inviting space to unwind after each day’s adventure. Enjoy spacious bedrooms, a poolside terrace, and intimate common areas perfect for sipping wine and sharing stories with fellow travelers.

However, we understand the value of personal time and recognize that some days you may wish to step away from planned events. While we encourage you to join in on the fun, all activities are optional, allowing you to tailor the trip to your preferences. Whether you choose to partake in every moment or carve out time for yourself, this journey is designed to suit your needs.
The tour begins and ends at Milan Malpensa Airport, where we will provide private transportation to and from Piedmont. Direct flights to Milan are available from most major international airports, making your arrival seamless and stress-free.
Changes to the itinerary may occur. In the event any experience listed should change due to matters beyond our control, it will be replaced with a similar quality experience.
ARRIVAL & A TASTE OF PIEDMONT
Day 1
Arrive in Milan, where our private bus will transport you to Piedmont, stopping en route for a delightful picnic at a winery nestled in the picturesque Monferrat hills, a region brimming with historic castles.
Upon arrival at Casa Gallo, unpack, relax, and join us poolside to sip wine, review the week’s itinerary, and enjoy an introductory dinner to Piemonte’s culinary delights.
THE KING OF WINES: BAROLO
Day 2
After a leisurely breakfast, the day’s focus turns to Barolo, one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions.
Our first visit is to Paolo Scavino, a fourth-generation winery. Lunch takes place in a charming restaurant frequented by winemakers.
The afternoon brings us to G.D. Vajra, a family-run estate known for its Barolos and warm hospitality. Return to the villa to admire the sunset, then stroll to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
COOKING WITH PASSION
Day 3
After breakfast, join Chef Monica for a guided visit to the bustling markets of Canale, where you’ll select fresh ingredients for your cooking class.
Back at the villa, roll up your sleeves and learn the secrets of traditional Piedmontese cuisine. Enjoy the fruits of your labor over lunch, accompanied by carefully selected wines.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps relaxing by the pool. Dinner tonight is optional at a nearby restaurant.
BARBARESCO: THE QUEEN OF NEBBIOLO
Day 4
Today we explore the "Queen of Nebbiolo." Barbaresco wines are celebrated for their elegance and finesse.
Our first stop is Marchesi di Grésy, a historic estate dating back to 1797. A hearty lunch follows at a traditional trattoria.
Next explore the stunning Castle Monteu Roero, with its frescoed halls and fascinating history. Conclude the visit with a grappa tasting. The evening culminates with dinner at a highly recommended restaurant surrounded by vineyards.
ARTISANS OF THE LAND
Day 5
The day begins with a visit to Gamba cooperage, where you’ll witness the centuries-old craft of barrel-making.
Next, visit Cocchi where you’ll learn about the intricate process of aromatizing wines with herbs and spices and enjoy a family-style lunch.
After some relaxation time, head to Fontanafredda, a historic village and winery founded by King Emanuele II’s son. Tour the grounds, taste the wines, and dine in the heart of this reserve.
THE HUNT FOR TRUFFLES
Day 6
Begin the day with a visit to Banfi Winery’s Piedmont facility, where you’ll explore their sparkling wines, Gavi, Dolcetto d’Acqui, and Barbara d’Asti. After a delectable lunch, head into the forest for an unforgettable truffle hunt. Wear sturdy shoes, as the terrain can be muddy! After the hunt, sample truffle-infused products.
The day concludes with a scenic dinner at Rabayà, a restaurant owned by a member of the Grasso winemaking family.
MARKETS & MEMORIES
Day 7
Choose your adventure on this final day.
Venture to Alba, bustling with markets, specialty shops, and the renowned International Truffle Fair. Pick up unique gifts or mementos. Lunch in Alba will be on your own.
Alternatively, stay at the villa to relax and enjoy the serene setting.
Then gather for a farewell dinner at Angelo Negro’s hilltop restaurant. This memorable meal is the perfect way to toast the week’s adventures.

Day 8
As your journey concludes, early morning transportation to Milan’s Malpensa Airport will be provided. For those wishing to extend their time in Italy, additional arrangements can be made to continue exploring this captivating region.
